Research Interests

​My research mainly focuses on sedimentary traces of past earthquakes in lake deposits. I use high-resolution physical, mineralogical, geochemical and geochronologicaldata from sediment cores to disentangle the sedimentary traces of earthquakes from paleoclimatic or paleoenvironmental signals. In addition to the paleolimnological techniques, paleoseismic trenching and historical seismicity are also in my research interests.
