Since August 2021, Askja Volcano has been experiencing an unrest episode.
Adriano used InSAR to study the ground deformation of this area. Using Boundary Element Models, he evaluated the deformation produced by the interaction between a sill-like source and the ring faults of Askja caldera. The final results suggest that the last one contributes to the final deformation pattern.
