GPS fieldwork in North Iceland

13 August, 2019

Once every three years the CDI group goes to North Iceland for a GPS measurement campaign to study the rift-transform kinematics near the Húsavík-Flatey Fault and the surroundings. The CDI GPS network consists of almost 90 survey markers and over 20 CGPS stations and the 2019 GPS campaign took just over two weeks to complete. This time the participants were Rémi, Renier, Xing, Shaozhuo, Laura, Sigurjón, Daniele, Martin, Laila, Kári Daníel, Sturla and cook Margrét.
